Hey,

I discovered that when I load a GPS NMEA text file on the Serial Output tab, that it did not work with the SeaClear II chart plotter software.

I found out why - SatGen NMEA is not sending a CR (x013) after each line of COM data so SeaClear just does not see the data.

Now I also tested it with another program, GPS visualizer, and it worked just fine - so this may be more of a reflection on SeaClear then SatGen, but I know that many COM based apps need that CR.

The text files had a CRLF combo at the end of each line, and I played around with the file by adding an extra CR (so each line ended in CR CR LF) but that did not work.

I think it would be a good idea to add an option to allow a CR to be sent. :D

Thanks,

Ken

Hi Ken,

Unfortunately, our MD who happens to be the developer for SatGen NMEA, is currently out of the office until the new year. I'll make sure I bring this to his attention next year.

Jonnie.

Hi Ken

I have updated the software so that it sends out a Carriage Return at the end of each line, this should be there all the time, I overlooked it!

It is now V4.7 and can be downloaded from the normal place.

Cheers
