I created a new scene with 3 main elements, gauges, track map & PiP.
I have uploaded the scene to my VBOX Lite & connected my LCD display, all the elements bar the track map are displayed on the LCD screen, file size is small way below 12 MB.

I have entered start/finish parameters for Castle Combe (the map I put in the scene) does the map only appear when I have a valid GPS signal or actually cross the start/finish line as per the co-ordinates I entered?

Secondly, I am using a LANC remote but currently recording starts automatically above 2.5 kmh which is a pain. If I set in Scene Properties under Log Settings the Minimum Speed to 999kmh is that the best way to override the auto start?

Thanks & sorry for the newbie dumb questions!

Hi Jon,

Your track map should be displayed along with all other elements as soon as the scene is uploaded. Only the position indicator will not show up until you are actually at the track.
If you are having an issue with the track map not showing up once it has been uploaded, it sounds like you may have an older version of Video VBOX Setup software.
This contained a bug which would cause the track map not to display if it was touching the scene edge :(
This has not been rectified along with other problems. There is also a number of new features in the new software, so i would suggest that you download the latest version of setup software, and also make sure you download the latest version of firmware for your Video VBOX

In the new version of software, there is an option to have the unit to start logging 'when moving' or 'continuously'. If the continuous option is no good for your use, then changing the start logging speed to 999kph would indeed stop the unit from automatically starting to log. :D

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the call to support, track map now visible due to it touching edge of scene, I'll go and download new Firmware & VBOX set up now. Thanks:thumbsup:
