I just tried the Ferrari 430 can database on a 430 challenge. Doyou know if that database works with the challenge or if I need a different database. If you search online AIM has a pdf document with all the identifiers for the challenge. Also help regarding how to make a can database if you have the identifiers would he helpful.
Thanks

How were you connecting to the car, and what country are you located in?
Racelogic has, but I have never found CAN data on the diagnostic connector on a F430 in the US or Canada. I do have information for where to find CAN behind the driver's seat, though.

I'm located in Colombia.
I was wondering where is the location of CAN Bus info on the car. It would be great if you had a photo or description of the cable with Can Hign and Can Low pin out or cable colors. Do you know if the CAN info is the same for the regular F430 and the Challenge.
My email is ingenieriacabra@gmail.com.
Thanks.

I have the same problem trying to get the signal from the OBD.
Can you also send me a copy of the CAN locations.

Hello,
We do have a F458GT3 CAN file available here: http://www.velocitybox.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=45:can-database&catid=14&Itemid=6
The CAN signals should be found on the OBDII port...
It seems that the CAN Ids may be different on the Challenge as one of our customers was struggling to pick up the correct info from the car when using this GT3 file on a Challenge...:(
As we do not have access to this car we cannot get any CAN information directly from it - but we can send out a CAN logging test scene to log raw CAN data from the car. We can then look at reverse engineering this data to create a CAN file for the challenge...:D
If anyone is interested in logging this raw CAN data for us, email support@racelogic.co.uk for full instructions :)
Hope this is helpful

Hi Lucie, would you be able to do this to get some more CAN info for the Evo X? I know you already have it on the database but it does not have a brake input, which would be nice :)

It depends on what's on the Bus. It will almost certainly have brake on/off, but brake force isn't necessarily on there...
But the CAN logging scene would probably allow us to find out :)

Thanks Mike, I'll drop support an email and see if can sort something out
I was under the impression that you had to have the actual car to find out the info :)

We do have a CAN logging scene, which when used correctly will log the raw CAN data from a vehicle. When this is used following a test plan, it allows us to pick through the raw data to find ID's :) email us at support@racelogic.co.uk to get the scene and instructions :)
