Ok

perhaps I am being stupid, but since the vbox is so accurate in its GPS fixes, couldn't you programme in on the circuit maps the turn in points, a bit like a 'virtual cone' that you get on track days.

you could display it on your oled. I dont mean full race speed indication but perhaps sighting laps when your unsure of the circuit?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I will pose it to the development team in the next engineering meeting to determine its practicality and whether it would be possible.

I do personally have reservations :( , as ideal turn in points on a map would change dependant on vehicle being used, as the handling charactersitcs and steering ratios will be different from car to car .... not wildly, but significantly

Nevertheless, I'l see what the team think ;)

Thanks again :Drive:

This could be very beneficial for multiple drivers of the same vehicle... especially for night races and especially with audio and/or visual ques. Flash the OLED screen and/or generate a beep tone. Can we get an audio out jack, too?

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the suggestion also.

I think such a thing would be most beneficial for driver experience days, when customers have a session or two driving a circuit they may have never seen before.

However being a bit old fashioned though, I do think for the serious driving applications there is no substitute for learning the braking and turning points through repetition. :Drive:

I wouldnt want to be braking in to a corner knowing the driver behind me is looking for a visual aid before he prepares for the corner. !Scared!

As the OLED is purely a compact visual display I do not see it including an implemented audio out jack or buzzer, but this is always something we could raise in design meetings :D
