View Full Version : CAN Configuration

I can't untick the "send acknowledge" box in the CAN config section of the VVBox set up. When I open the menu it is already ticked, each time I click on it I get the standard message about placing unwanted data on the CAN bus, but the tick stays.
The only way I can get rid of it is to change from VCI to Racelogic Mode in the adjacent drop down menu.
I have the four camera box if it makes any difference, and I have sucessfully loged CAN signals in the past. I've updated to the latest (V3) soft/firmware.
Any ideas at all please?

Hi Sider,
I have tested the issue that you noticed and managed to replicate it here. The fault seems to be triggered when you have an element assigned to a channel which requires the send acknowledge box to be ticked, save the scene, reload it and then try to de-select the box.
I will enter this as a bug and the software team will look into getting it fixed.
Thanks for pointing this out  Sorry for any inconvenience caused:(
If you export the scene and email it to us we will have a look and sort out the settings so you can use it properly....:o

... After a little more testing I have found that the box cannot be de-selected when 'Log All' under MIM or MICIN is enabled. If these settings are disabled you should be able to turn the send acknowledge off...
What CAN channels are you trying to log?

Hi Lucie
I usually use the throttle and steering chanels from the Evo X. I have a connection straight to the ECU (CAN high/low) and plug that directly into the VVBox and load the info from your CAN database.
This only came to light about a month or so ago when I swapped my box for the 4 camera version (previously the original 2 camera version) However it was a rush for the last trackday so I just used the default scene and no CAN. But I think I upgraded the VVBox set up software at the same time.

Hi Sider,
Have you sorted the setting out now? If not please send the scene over

Morning Lucie
I have sent you a scene over but I still don't seem able to turn the CAN acknowledge off regardless of if I do anything with MIM etc, or not

Ah yes, I just noticed the scene.:o
I was able to deselect the box straight away and have sent it back to you.
I will carry out some further testing on this as it seems to be an intermittant problem...
Hope the scene is now OK...
