Hello Martin,
Sorry to hear that you have been having issues with your Performance Box unit.![]()
If you can just confirm that you have carried out the following checks:
1. Upgraded to latest firmware (3.0.23) The installed version is displayed at the bottom of the screen upon start up.
2. Carried out a GPS cold start - MENU > SETUP > COLDSTART
You should see the cold start run through successfully. If the unit is then left outside with a clear view of the sky - away from big buildings or trees, it should lock onto SATs within 5 minutes.
This test should work without any external antenna connected.
let me know how this goes - for a faster response time please send your reply to support@racelogic.co.uk![]()

Here is raining right now. I will try to catch satelites far away from the trees and buildings.Thanks.i will report as soon as possible.
Hi, i am still with problems.I have two units performance box.
One of them works good, it has version 1.00 44 .
The other one doesnt worked so i updated firmware and still same problem.Dont recieve satellite.
I have tried with the other unit and the same external antena, and i realised that i have a problem with the external antena, because when i switched off the cable , unit recieve satelite, and when i switch on again the external antena losse signal.
So i think my first problem with the unit that doesnt worked, could it be possible the external antena going wrong, but now i have updated the unit and i am not sure if the unit is capable of warking with this firmware(last on)
I would like to know if its possible send to me the old firmware version to load it in my unit and try again with only internal antena. Version 1.00. Other question...I could see that within the unit its a battery. Is it possible that this battery was exhausted? Thanks

Hello Martin,
It sounds as if you have traced the root cause of the issue - a faulty external antenna.
The latest firmware has been fully tested and certainly allows the PB units to work correctly with or without an external antenna attached.
The internal battery will not be causing any issues as long as the unit is running the latest firmware - with some old firmware versions if the battery was flat it would not get SAT lock.
I would advise upgrading both units to the latest version of firmware and replacing the faulty external antenna. Both units should be able to get SAT lock with or without the antenna connected - as long as they are in a good location with a good view of the sky.

Hi. I have replaced as you said to me external antena.
I have the same problem.Dont get sat lock
I carried aut the unit to an open sky area.
i left it for more then 20 minutes and dont work
I tried without external antena and dont work.
Possibbly unit broken?
If you have upgraded to the latest firmware, carried out a cold start through the menu, and left the unit out in an open space for around 5 minutes and it will not get SAT lock then there may be a hardware problem.![]()
What is the serial number of the unit?
the serial number is 5011835
I can see this unit was sold by Tech Target - as they are your local distributor it may be best to contact them to look at getting the unit repaired. Contact details below.
