Default Converting vBox files to video

    Guys,

I just finished writing my own quick little program to convert a vbox files to a speedometer video. I wrote the software so every aspect of the speedometer was user-programmable. In the video below, the speedomter spans 0-200 MPH, from 225 degrees to 315 degrees. The background is transparent, the digits are white, the needle is transparent red, and the gauge is 350x350 pixels. I wrote the program so that every aspect of the speedometer is programmable and auto-generated by software (no designing in a graphics program). If you want to change the top speed, no problem. Change the starting/ending angles, no problem. Change colors, needle color, transparency, no problem. Nothing is hard-coded in the software, and everything is customizeable.

If anybody wants to give it a try, send me a PM and I'll tell you want I need to know, then I'll give you an email address to send me your vbox file. I'm working on writing a web page interface so that users can select all of their own options...but the web page is only 1/2 done.

I don't know if there's anything else like this because I didn't check before writing the software. I just did it as a fun project for my own vidoes -- called "Speedo Wars" -- competitions between two cars. Eventually I plan to take this idea to the next level and annimate two cars running side-by-side -- just by converting their vBox files to video.

    Enjoy.

The program is written in PhP and is intended to be web interfaced. I'm not planning to give out the source code. I'm planning to give people a web interface and let them upload their vBox files, then my server will automatically convert the files to video offline from the web server. When the video is done, then I plan to send the person an email and a link where to download the completed video. As of now, that's the plan.
