    From here.

It's a standalone executable, no installation needed

    Thank you!
But what to do with the RS 232 connector? Is there a RS 232 to USB switcher available?

    Hi hotparts,

since most modern laptops do not have a serial port anymore you may have to purchase a Serial to USB converter. I would recommend ebay

    Hi there,

It may be the case that the USB to Serial lead has not been assigned COM port number 1. Have you tried navigating to your Computers COM port lists to see what COM port has been assigned to the USB to serial Convertor?

To do this in Win 7 navigate to Computer from the start menu, right click and select Manage. this will bring up Computer Management, select Device Manager from the left hand side and then in the right hand menu click Ports (COM & LPT) and your USB serial convertor should be listed as USB serial Port and then the COM port number assigned will be listed.

If this is any number other than 1 this is most likely the problem. When you run the Traction software navigate to Options-COM Ports and Ports 1-6 should be available to select. If your system has allocated a higher number than 6 you will need to run the traction Control software as the administrator. To do this right click the executable and slect run as admin. Now when you go to the COM ports list numbers higher than 6 will be available.

Hope this helps, if you have any further problems or queries you can always email us at support@racelogic.co.uk.

    Tom
