Coastdown testing

I am interested in performing coast down testing using the VBox according to SAE J2263 procedure, but noticed on the website that available software for the VBox uses EC 70/220/EC - Annex III procedures. Are the two standards similar so that I may justify using the coast down software? I have not been able to find documentation on the EU directive.
