^ Hope my rantings here make sense to someone???
In short I have a VB3i and am logging a whole heap of extra through various CAN modules (MIM, IMU, FIM) and wanting to display these or overlay on my DV set up ...........
Can it work has anyone done it? with a VBOX3 or 3i similar set up?

It's certainly possible. Whilst not quite to the extent you wish to take it, I have previously prepared some instructions that guide people through how to export a DriftBox log file containing Micro Input Module data for use with TrackVision. I've reproduced this below. It's a little convoluted, and I'm sure TrackVision will be able to simplify the process for you by explaining how to create a properties file that will work directly with the exported csv file.
Alternatively, take a look at Brake test with VVB (http://www.racelogic.co.uk/_downloads/vbox/Application_Notes/Brake%20tests%20with%20VVB.pdf) which shows how a Video VBOX can pick up the CAN information output by a VBOX 2 or VBOX 3i and display this information overlayed on the video in realtime.
====
DriftBox Tools doesn’t include support for exporting data including Micro Input Module channels to Trackvision format.
There is a manual process to get around this if you need this functionality.
Open the DBN in Performance Tools
Tools > Export Data > To TrackVision
Enter a name and save
Still in Performance Tools, click the Save button and choose Comma delimited in the Save as type drop down
Enter a different name and save
You now have a file in the TrackVision format in the first file, and a Racelogic file in the second containing the additional Micro Input Module columns.
Open both files in Excel or a similar spreadsheet
Copy the RPM and analogue channel columns (just the data) from the second CSV and then paste into the TrackVision file to the right of the ypos column
Add “RPM, ANA1, ANA2, ANA3, ANA4” as column headers in row 31
Save the file (keeping it as a csv)
Save the attached properties file to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apex Visualizations\trackvision\loggers (this tells TrackVision about the extra channels)
Start TrackVision and go to the Edit Preferences... menu, then choose Racelogic Tools with MICIN V1.8.2 KPH from the Logger model drop down list
You can now load the edited csv and you will have engine speed and analogue channels available (as analogue 2-5, drift angle will be analogue 1).

Which is the cheapest Video VBOX unit for me to do what I want to do sir ;)
**Just to be sure***
Any can stream I can overlay? I just want the video part and use all my VB3i or do I need to run the 10hz GPS speed signal. You know what I want just the video part alone as I have all the other info at the quality I need.

Yes, you can display any incoming CAN signals in the video.
Depends how many channels you want to log. Any more than four and you'll need a Video VBOX Pro. All prices here (http://www.videovbox.co.uk/index.php/buy-online/prices).

I'll try the TV first, see how frustrated I get and go from there, thanks for the advice.

^ Here is the video, I am so happy with it (the car lol), its as fast or faster than every Ferrari F40 I have on file (bare one test), faster than a Pagani Zonda (VBOX file of that one!).
p.s. RL traction control turned off to show you can have too much power :Drive:
