Hello,

We are currently trying to connect to wheel speed data on a 2012 Toyota Yaris using information from the CAN database. In the past we have successfully been able to record wheel speed from a 2010 Toyota Yaris using the Prius CAN codes in the Racelogic Database (ALLCAR.REF), but they will not work for the 2012 model.

Do you have any updates that include the 2012 Toyota/Lexus platform for the CAN database?

Thanks for your help,

Bill

Hello Bill,

Unfortunately we do not have any further information on 2012 Toyota / Lexus CAN ID's.:(

If we get the chance to access the vehicles directly then we can read data from directly from the vehicles CAN bus and create a REF file.

Where about are you located?

The ALLCAR.REF file can be downloaded from our website.

Selecting many of the makes/models will allow you to download the ALLCAR file, e.g. Toyota Pirus.
Note you will need your username and password to download any REF files.

REF file stands for 'Racelogic Encrypted File' so you will not be able to create your own. However our software can also use DBC and VCI can database files. To create this will require some CAN Vector software.

What vehicle are you wanting to connect to?

The car is a Toyota Prado 2011.

The car is a Toyota Prado 2011.

I would try using the standard Toyota channel ID's. Within the 'ALLCAR.REF' there are channels listed as 'PRI_xxx'. These would be the best ones to try with this vehicle.

High speed CAN is also available on the OBDII port in newer Toyota's, so you should be able to connect directly to this :D

Hope this is helpful.
