Circuit Tools 3.2 is a significant update that ships with key new features, including:

Insights
Insights is a new feature, accessible via the 'Insights' button:
Insights button
Insights provides a corner-by-corner analysis of your lap, showing how much grip was used and where time could be gained.
The Insights window
The 'grip target' defaults to the maximum grip achieved in the selected lap, but can be overridden. Use the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons to cycle through each corner.
The Insights window has four main areas:
Combo G map
Insights – Combo G map
A Combo G map is shown for each corner, displaying the track outline with a heatmap trace of the path taken. This is coloured to reflect the Combo G (combined acceleration) shown through the corner, against the target value. Current, minimum, and maximum values are displayed as text.
G Ball trace

The G Ball trace shows a history of the Combo G value throughout the corner, with options to display the target value as a yellow dashed circle. When 'Max Grip' is ticked, a grey shaded area shows the maximum acceleration values achieved across the whole session, which helps to show the maximum grip of the tyre when transitioning from braking to cornering.

This shows longitudinal acceleration during the braking phase of the corner, where applicable. This helps to show where braking could be later and harder, or is inconsistent. A yellow dashed line represents the grip target, and a reference lap can also be displayed as a comparison.
Turn-in grip

This shows combined acceleration throughout the whole corner. This helps to show, for example, where not all available grip is used whilst transitioning from braking to cornering. A yellow dashed line represents the grip target, and a reference lap can also be displayed as a comparison.
Corner name and notes
As part of Insights, we've created a database of corners (which is still being added to) to enable the corner-by-corner analysis. For tracks that haven't had corners mapped yet, or are not in the main Racelogic Track Map Database, corners are detected from the driving data.
Notes can be added on a corner for reference. These notes can then be shown in Insights, on the map, and in the Track Report (described later).

On the map and in the Track Report, corner labels can be shown / hidden as follows:
All — shows corner labels for all corners, and notes where applicable.
With Notes — shows corner labels (and notes) only for the corners that have notes set.
None — no corner labels show; a clean map for a 'standard' view.
Track Report

The Track Report shows basic session information (file name, track, date) along with any user-entered details where applicable — driver, vehicle, weather, and notes set as Session Information in the load dialog — and statistics: best lap time, ideal lap time, number of laps, top speed, and maximum braking and cornering G forces.
Track Report can be accessed from within the Insights window, or the dropdown part of the Insights toolbar button:

Corner notes can also be displayed (with the same three visibility settings) and edited here, and the report can be printed or saved for sharing.
A heat map is also available, showing the driven route of any selected lap coloured to reflect the values of a selected channel. This can be used as an alternative visual way of displaying delta time between two laps, or even for spotting trends in vehicle data (temperatures / pressures around a lap).
Dark Mode
Application in dark mode
A full application-wide dark theme. The same basic colours are used to display data, but with different shades to enhance visibility.
Other additions
New languages — The interface is now available in Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Chinese, on top of the existing English and German, making the software usable by more drivers and engineers worldwide.
Pedal Overlap — A new built-in maths channel that highlights where the throttle and brake are applied at the same time (where suitable data channels are available), making it easy to spot trail-braking or pedal overlap.
Histograms — The data axis can now be sorted, and values above the top band roll into an open-ended final band — making the distribution easier to read.
Video speed overlay — An optional on-screen speed readout for the video (windowed or full-screen, toggled with Ctrl+T or the right-click menu), handy for comparing laps with different speed units in the video.
Measure Tool jump to Min / Max — Double-click a Min or Max result in the Measure Tool to send the graph cursor straight to that point, so you can quickly find where in the lap the extreme occurred.
Choose export location — You can now choose where exported video and VBO files are saved, rather than a fixed location — useful for organising output or saving straight to a shared or removable drive.
Bug Fixes
Video & playback
Fixed video freezes, stalls and unresponsive pause / playback.
Fixed fullscreen issues: position jumping, frame-step snap-back, preview swapping and the video placeholder not reappearing.
Fixed video and cursor sync when comparing files with different log rates.
Fixed a crash when reloading video, and the wrong video being matched to a lap.
Fixed the video controls being greyed out after pausing.
Can now hold the arrow keys to step smoothly through video in fullscreen.
In Sessions mode, playback now continues through the parts of a lap covered by only the longer video, instead of stalling.
Switching from Sessions to Laps mode no longer re-selects the fastest lap over a lap you have chosen.
Graph, channels & maths
Fixed the delta-T channel not re-zeroing to the visible range when zooming and panning the graph.
Fixed maths channels that reference other maths channels not being evaluated, or evaluated in the wrong order.
Fixed some maths channels showing a value but plotting a blank trace.
Fixed maths channel names not updating, units not applying, and newly added maths channels accidentally merging onto an existing graph channel.
Fixed the channel list only showing channels from the first file, and the Reports tab being empty when a channel is in only one file.
Fixed the graph legend not showing values at the cursor position.
Fixed the graph and map cursor jumping when the reference lap changes; it now stays on the same point of the track.
Load dialog & file transfer
Fixed the load dialog's file list keeping stale / duplicate entries, and files briefly flashing into the list.
Fixed the load dialog not retaining the file-list sort order.
Fixed Copy / Move hanging, using the wrong folder, showing wrong circuit names, and the destination not being set when the load dialog opens.
Fixed Move deleting source files without first confirming the copy succeeded.
Lap timing, sectors & Measure Tool
Fixed the Measure Tool showing the raw channel name instead of the display name, and using the wrong position when comparing different log rates.
Fixed lap and sector timing being corrupted when the finish line was set on, or too close to, the start point.
Fixed Reset Start / Finish not switching back out of Sessions mode.
Fixed sector and measure regions including pre-data samples, and editing a split moving the viewport.
Fixed lap times in the load dialog for point-to-point circuits, which now use the circuit's separate finish line instead of looping back to the start.
Fixed negative lap times in the load dialog for laps spanning midnight (UTC).
Export
Fixed lap export writing a corrupt file when the start point can't be found.
Fixed corrupted timing when exporting a reference lap that spans midnight (UTC).
Stability & other
Fixed a range of crashes reported through crash telemetry, and crashes on startup from corrupt recent-files or layout settings.
Fixed the release notes appearing at the wrong time, and the main window not showing before the update prompt.
Fixed the installer licence text that incorrectly referenced "Production Test Wizard".
Changes
Removed the superfluous "3" so the version no longer shows as "Circuit Tools 3 3.x.x".
Improved performance when scrubbing the cursor.
Improved map box-zoom behaviour.
Reworked the Maths Channels dialog with Apply / Revert.
Feature windows now come to the front when re-opened, and can be minimised.
In Sessions mode, sessions are now coloured by pace rather than load order.
