CAN Interface Products
Racelogic have developed a number of modules for use on CAN bus equipped systems.
These products are designed to work on their own, or together, and come with Windows configuration software to allow customisation.
The products are of a high quality, and are designed to be easy to use, yet very flexible. Major OEM customers now use Racelogic CAN products in validation and testing.
CAN Display
The CAN Display is designed to allow you to display the contents of
messages on a CAN bus. You can either scan the bus manually, enter your
own database, or use one of the pre-installed databases in the unit.

GPSTran
The GPSTran is designed to provide a digital speed pulse output for use
by other equipment. Because satellite GPS is used to measure speed, the
GPSTran is suitable for use in many applications where normal speed sensing
methods will not work. The update rate of the pulse output is 5Hz with
an accuracy of ±0.1kmh. The Pulse per meter setting is configurable to
suit most applications.
Example applications include telematic systems, speedometers for boats,
general speed logging, taximeters, and agricultural.

CANTran
The CANTran
is designed to provide digital Vehicle Speed and Engine RPM signals from
vehicles equipped with Multiplexed CAN Bus wiring.
Each CANTran unit contains a database of many different vehicles and will automatically recognise the vehicle type it is fitted to so there is nothing for the user to configure.
This cost effective unit is our best selling CAN product and is used by suppliers of Taxi
meters and Navigation systems. For more information please click the following link:

Multifunction display
The multifunction display is used to show a number of parameters on the CAN bus. Up to four parameters can be displayed on the screen, and there are two screens which can be accessed with the buttons on the front of the display.
Windows software allows the Display to be configured for virtually any CAN bus.

Frequency Input Module
The VBOX FIM03 takes 4 digital inputs and converts them to CAN. It is primarily
designed to connect to a VBOX II DGPS and can be used to log wheel speeds from
an ABS unit (for example) along with the normal channels of VBOX data. Other
uses for the FIM03 include measuring Engine Rpm, and logging the output from
Fuel Flow meters.
The range of the Frequency Input Module is 0.5-20KHz, and can take TTL, or
inductive inputs. There are two modes, a frequency measurement mode, and a
pulse counting mode.
|
 |
The module is configured internally with individual names,
scales and offsets for each channel, and these values are then transmitted
over CAN. The FIM03 can be also be used in Stand Alone mode which is
used to connect to your own data-logging equipment.

Analogue to CAN converter (16 bit)
The ADC03 is a high performance analogue to CAN converter. The unit contains 8 opto-isolated dual input channels, with 16 bits of resolution.
The input voltage range can be selected from ±100mV to ±50V.

CAN to analogue converter
The DAC01 is designed to convert user specified CAN information into analogue voltage. The DAC01 has four separate analogue outputs.
Windows software is supplied which allows configurations to be loaded into the unit.
